After solidifying their name in the single length irons market, Cobra is back with another high-end single length iron set. We’re talking about the Cobra Golf 2021 Radspeed One Length Iron Set, which has stormed the golfing world.

Radspeed is named after Cobra’s brand new Radial Weighting technology that supposedly improves forgiveness and ball speed. You can also purchase a variable-length version of these irons, but here our focus will be entirely on the single-length variant.

This iron set comes with a host of sophisticated features that can’t be found in any other Cobra irons. It is their most advanced iron set until now. Whether or not these technological perks and features live up to the high standards of Cobra Golf is what we’ll discuss in detail.

First Impressions

At first sight, the Radspeed One Length Irons look nothing short of fabulous. The lustrous silver color, along with the Cobra Golf logo, creates an elegant combination. You’ll also notice the carbon fiber topline added for a higher MOI and a lower center of gravity. However, this topline is slightly flatter compared to the variable length irons.

Another feature that stands out and is pretty obvious is the 3D-printed medallion. This medallion enhances the club’s appearance while simultaneously allows Cobra to make the clubhead lighter by weight readjustment. It also helps in fine-tuning the feel and provides a better overall experience.

You can also find two separate screw weights in the toe and heel of the clubhead weighing 10 grams and 3 grams, respectively. The purpose of these weights is to boost stability on off-center shots. In addition, the Radspeed One Length Iron Set comes with Cobra Golf’s famous Cobra Connect that provides valuable golf insights that will help you improve your game significantly.

Feel and Sound

Cobra has faced their fair share of criticism for their clubs’, particularly irons’, substandard feel and sound. However, the Radspeed One Length Iron Set is geared to change all of that. Some might even say Cobra’s Radspeed Iron Set surpasses expectations when it comes to the feel and sound of the club.

The 3D-printed medallion deserves all the credit for this praise. Along with saving weight, it creates an intricate lattice structure that refines the feel and enhances the sound quality. The feel at impact is superb and very consistent throughout the clubface. It is arguably one of the most responsive iron sets in the market.

The impact sound is also very satisfying. It is sharp, crisp, high-pitched, and reasonably loud, exactly what a golfer wants to hear.

Performance

As always, Cobra doesn’t disappoint in terms of performance, especially when it comes to single length irons. The Radspeed Iron Set comes from a long generation of single-length irons that exude excellence.

Its highly advanced technology and features make it Cobra’s most sophisticated iron set until now. The Radial Weighting technology places the bulk of the mass away from the CG and is the primary talking point of these irons. This strategic weight placement optimizes ball speed and makes the Radpeed one of the most forgiving irons in the market. Also, the PowerShell face provides additional forgiveness.

The two separate weights mentioned earlier are part of the Tuned Rad Weighting that provides unmatched stability. Both of these weights are tactically placed on the extreme ends of the clubhead for best results. Even on mishits, you can expect the club to resist twisting and remain stable.

Furthermore, these irons come with the famous Cobra Connect feature that provides meaningful golf insights and analytics. You can track these statistics and improve your game over time.

All in all, all of these features make the Radspeed One Length Iron Set among the best irons due to their superior forgiveness, ball speed, flight trajectory, spin numbers, and stability. However, the distance numbers for the Radspeed irons are not that extraordinary. You can expect to cover a similar distance with a cheaper set of irons.

Final Thoughts

The Radspeed Iron Set is aptly named after the cutting-edge Radial Weighting technology that maximize forgiveness and stability. Moreover, the spin, ball speed, and flight trajectory are brilliant. It belongs in the category of the best game improvement irons in the market.

However, the most impressive feature is the 3D-printed medallion, without a shadow of a doubt. It will go a long way in clearing Cobra’s tarnished image of manufacturing golf clubs with inferior feel and sound.
